Spring 2012

Memorial Day is coming up fast and I still don’t have my own boat ready to go. I have it close, but the weather has been so up and down it isn’t finished up. I don’t have a lot to do, but I need to make sure she’s running at 100 percent before it goes in. I need to go over the drive and check the transom assembly for potential problems, and get everything greased up for the season. There’s never an end to the maintenance and cleaning but the end result is a reliable vessel that I trust to get me home. With gas prices so high it also means less expensive trips out and back.

I have another delivery across Lake Michigan to Montrose Harbor Marina in Chicago this week and then I think I can get things wrapped up. The slip is ready, the boat is close, and all I need to do is get back to work.

More soon…
